Tahitian Gardens
Tahitian Gardens
hibiscus, peach & tobacco
Inspiration: When I was a small child, my grandmother lived in a condominium neighborhood in Florida called Tahitian Gardens. It was set on a beautiful lake that was home to lots of ducks and, at times, lots of ducklings. She always had a hibiscus plant at her front door, and she always had tobacco - it was the 70's. The summer when I was five, she gave me a peach and I bit into it, losing my first tooth. She and her neighbor rounded up with 55 cents in change from them and the Tooth Fairy. I thought I was so rich! Rich in memories. This one's for her.
